Nobody has mentioned the IRobot Roomba vacuum cleaner, so that's my pick. Partially remembers the room it cleans, and uses AI to know where furniture is to avoid hitting it next time and where most frequent dust buildup is as to where to prioritize. www.irobot.com/us/robots/home/roomba.aspx

(You will need speaker installed in your computer to hear Braina's reply) "dont speak" - to switch off the speak mode. "/upload" - to upload data which braina has learned while chatting with you. Please use this command to support development. "/exit" - to quit Braina. "/hide" - to hide console. Ctrl+F1 to make it appear again. "cls" - to clear the screen. While not exactly a website you can visit, Googlebot and similar web crawlers should be a fine example of AIs on the web.
Webcrawlers are described as user agents, often designed to methodically go through and visit millions of websites, look up any and all urls that those sites are linking to, visit those sites and do the same to them, until they reach dead ends, all while remembering what sites they've already visited.
Other features include a re-visit policy that checks to see if old sites have been changed, a politeness policy to avoid overloading sites with lots of traffic and a parallelization policy that coordinates with webcrawlers that co-operating with each other.

www.bekkoame.ne.jp/~ishmnn/java/boid2.html this software simulates the behavior of bird flocks. It is based on the interaction of artificial life form, called boid, which move on 3D environment. For deciding the trajectory of changing direction, the artificial intelligence is based on three rules: - avoid overcrowding - align with direction of boid neighbors - reach the average position of boid nearby.

IBM's Deep Blue; the chess computer that beat no other than chess-master Garry Kasparov in the 1990's. I remember this, it was pretty exciting to see in the news who had won each game in the match. Deep Blue was not some kind of a game, but a serious AI machine :-) More on Deep Blue on Wikipedia: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deep_Blue_(chess_computer)

Baxter is a robot designed to perform simple manufacturing tasks. Among it's features that depend on AI: * It does not need to be programmed to handle a specific task but rather can be trained by end users to perform a variety of tasks involving basic part handling, packing/unpacking etc. * It is designed to work alongside humans and has sensors and programming to ensure that it does not harm it's environment during it's function. Rodney Brooks, former director of MIT AI Lab founded the company that makes of Baxter, Rethink Robotics. play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lsdroid.cerberus&hl=enCerberus is an anti-theft application for the android system. It can track and locate your phone, wipe out the internal and sd memory and lock the phone with a different code. If the phone has been stolen, cerberus can force it to call or send an sms to a separate number and send its location when a new SIM card is being used, or take a photo when someone inputs a wrong unlock code and even record audio or play a loud alarm. All info on location and networks being used is displayed at www.cerberusapp.com/, and even if the phone is not connected to a internet connection the app still works with a sms remote control. It does not drain batteries because it only activates when remotely controlled. The app also has a unauthorized uninstall protection.
