I'm planning to create a vision system using OpenCV for python, for simple object recognition and with a secondary goal to implement this system with a virtual agent.
Anyone is welcome to join.

Me, Hrafn Jökull and Jökull Jóhannsson are interested in researching AI in the arts. We want to explore the possibilities in making computers artistic, the methods and techniques needed (with emphasis on Genetic algorithms), what has been done in the past and of course, study state of the art technology in the field. It would also be interesting to discuss what art fields computers could explore and which ones have any practical value. The product of this research will be a paper, so it is more of a exploratory project but we would like to make a small demo of a creative program if there is time.

I just got this idea from hearing about the artistic AI idea. I was thinking about trying to create AI that could write a melody or a song.

Going to try to make a Starcraft game player using the Brood War API (BWAPI) if that turns out to be to complex i will probably just make a sudoku solver in Python.

Me and Lorenzo are thinking to make a knowledge base with PowerLoom. We are not sure about the knowledge domain to model, but we have some idesa. Then, we would like to talk to Hannes and/or Angelo in order to make a final decision.

Me(Þorsteinn Þorvaldsson) and Jón Friðrik (and possibly one more, but we couldn't get all of us chatting online at the same time so we have to run this idea by him)
We were thinking about like building a knowledge base with PowerLoom like niccolo posted here above, we have to meet up with Hannes or Angelo for more specifics, if it is OK for two groups working on similar projects.

Hello. I'd like to do a version of the Wumpus world in Java. There's already information regarding the problem in the material and it's an implementation of blind search with a knowledge base but I don't know if it's big enough to qualify as a final project. Regards Helgi Leifsson It's absolutely ok!

Hello! The bot for action game sounded interesting and I ran into this Pogamut platform. It utilizes Unrealscript (Unreal Tournament 2004 scripting language) and also Netbeans for creating AI for UT2004. I was thinking about creating a human-like bot for UT2004 or something. Link to Pogamut website: diana.ms.mff.cuni.cz/main/tiki-index.php?page=AboutHello, if you need some hints or inspiration for the specific kind of AI you want to implement for your bot agents you can come here at CADIA (V.2.16) and take photocopies from these books: - AI Game Development. Synthetic creatures with learning and reactive behaviors. Alex J. Champandard. - AI for game developers. David M. Bourg and Glenn Seeman. They would provide you a wide range of topics from where you can of course take inspiration
