Corpus: a corpus (plural corpora) or text corpus is a large and structured set of texts (now usually electronically stored and processed)
Can a Corpus be any arbitrary list of words/text? Does the meaning of the word corpus depend on how the text is used or what the text contains? Does Corpus possibly have dual meaning?

Yes, a corpus can be any arbitrary collection of texts. However, we would not call any arbitrary list of words a corpus. So, a corpus is a collection of texts or speech, written or spoken by someone. It doesn't really make a difference what the text contains. On the other hand, we talk about a "balanced corpus" if the text in the corpus is selected according to some predeterminated criteria.
